Oy! Sage 6.1 randomly crashes, missed Idol tonight!

I am in such deep doodoo it's not funny. I upgraded to SageTV 6.1 a few days ago, and i've noticed it randomly just crashes.

The Worst case scenario has occurred - it crashed shortly before American Idol tonight, and that didn't tape! The wife is pissed.

Has this happened to anybody else? I just put it into Service Mode, let's see if that crashes.

FWIW, this is the only thing that's running on the box. Nothing else at all (currently) is on the box.

If it is any help Phil and Chris left the show. Can you provide a little more info about the server? Logs from Sage?

Actually something worse happend to me lastnight.
We put off watching AI so we can watch a movie (it was hard enough to convince her to watch the movie!).

Finally we got to watching AI and we where at the point just before Phil was anounced to go home, and all of a sudden... "SNAP" it cut to the end of the show with Chris singing

I'm still not sure what happened to the recording but anytime I tried to RW or FF, the picture would lock-up but the counter would keep counting.

WAF is still high but I still have to remind her how many times she would have missed the show without sage...

Oh, there's Sage logs? Where would I find those?

I looked in the Windows XP Event Viewer and those seem totally clean.

The server is a brand new build with an MSI 945P Neo3-F motherboard that has an Intel north & southbridge, and the CPU is an E6600. I have 1GB of 512x2 Corsair DDR2 667 RAM.

I'm using [http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...E16814102079]a cheaper ($60) Sapphire ATI-based VGA card[/url] as this is primarily a headless server, with MVP rendering being it's only duties. (Well, i'm hoping to setup SQL Server Express on it once stable.

They aren't there unless you have logging enabled, but for some reason I thought you knew this one already or I would have pointed you here earlier... see this FAQ for enabling debug logging. If you are having issues, running with logging anabled will help provide info to support about what is happening.

I switched to using SageTV as a service and so far so good. I true'd the debug_logging just-in-case.

I still have to run those memtests, perhaps it's simply not reaching the bad stick, but thought I'd report that back here in case anyone is watching.
