sage tv service not downloading tv schedule

for some reason my sage tv has stopped downloading the tv schedule, and is therefore not recording anything, nor displaying any channel guide info in live tv mode.

i'm kind of surprised that the software doesn't generate warnings to let you know if it can't connect to the server.

but anyway, can someone tell me what ports must be open in my firewall to allow sagetv to download the schedule? i recently modified the firewall rules for "microsoft generic host process" because i was getting hacked (and the rules i modified worked for that). so maybe it's related to that, but i hope not.
