Reload now wont play live TV

Help,

I had a hard drvie crash on my Sage server - yes I had a backup.

I did a clean load, reloaded Sage 6.19, java etc, nvidia pure video decoders, nvidia dual tv. Restored the wiz.bin file and ran through a client setup on the server to setup the capture card etc.

The client running on the server is working fine, plays all the old recordings, plays live tv just fine, plays music and videos.

I plug in the MVP client, it boots and plays everything fine with the exception of Live TV. When trying to switch to it, I first get a decoder error, if I try again I get the no signal error followed by a playback exception error.

I am running the sagetv service on the server with the correct username and password, no mapped drives, only unc shares.

For the life of me I cant figure this out.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is really odd.

Here is what I had to do to get it to work.

Run the client program on the server and setup video to use VMR9 and Default encoder.

Same with Audio.

No STV's clean install, is this normal for getting the MVP client to work?

Then I exited out of the Client program running on the server and was then able to setup the sources on the MVP and actually get a picture.

Someone enlighten me as to why it needs to be setup like this?
