Duplicate Music entries

I know people are having the same problem and I've tried what was recommended in other forums but still have problems with duplicate entries for music files. Examples:
1.Media Center contains previous and retagged file, so now I have the same file twice. This is intermittent and does not consistent with all files.
2.Unknown Artist - there are some files that are properly tagged that show up under unkown artist.

I have been using a Turtle Beach Audiotron music extender for 6 years and NEVER EVER did I have a problem like this. I'm running 6.1.2, does anybody have a suggestion? Is it clear to say it's a bug?

If you change the import dirs to not import music (just switch them to importing videos so you don't actually have to remove & re-add the paths later), do you still have any music shown after restarting SageTV & waiting for the library rescan to complete?

If not, then add the music import dirs again & do another library rescan.

Is it the Artist or Album Artist info that is missing?

And, what file format & tag format are you using?

I changed the import directory and did a rescan, no music files appeared. Add the directory back, did a rescan and all music appeared. This didn't fix the problem. Seems like retagging add's another entry and I don't know why. These are all .mp3's ver 1 & 2.

I was able to fix the unkown artist issue.
