Display problems, and HDHR problems...

2 problems.

1. sage does not see the hdhr tuners. at all, and I have removed their entries from the sage.properties file. I have tried doing this with the server on, and I have tried to do it with the server off. Not really sure why it doesn't work. There must be somoe super secret setting I am not seeing, and yes I am using the newest hdhr drivers.

2. the computer is hooked up to my 1080i TV via component cable, and it looks great... EXCEPT, when I am in the sage menus, the menus are cut off on the right and the bottom, also it's shifted up, anyways. the menus look fine on the attached monitor, just does this on the big screen. It's probably something wrong with the nvidia drivers.

thanks in advance.

For # 2 you need to adjust the overscan. It's in one of the Detailed Setup screens. The easiest way is to just run the original setup wizard - I think there's a link for that in the default STV also.

Does the HDHR work in VLC? In other words, have you verified that it works and it's just a Sage Issue?

overscan is already adjusted, the video actually uses the full screen, and overscan is fine. Sage's own menus are blacked out...like, the right 10 inches and the bottom 6 inches on a 42" widescreen.

Did you run the HDHR configuration utilities and install all of the HDHR software? There are three pieces: the setup, config and the run-time packages. I use these to get the HDHR started.

Yes I installed and configured the hdhr stuff, vlc works. etc.

Now, this is really wierd, I am running an extender over my network, the picture looks great, BUT the menus are cut off on the right side when I full screen, but ONLY when I fullscreen

wow this is a little weird... r

The overscan settings in Sage don't effect the video at all. They only effect the location of the menus / OSD in Sage.

btl.

today, at the moment, it looks perfect. Methinks this is a bug as the occurance is not reproducible.
