Windows Volume --VS-- Sage Volume

I always keep my Windows volume at 75% then within Sage I adjust the playback volume per my liking with the remote. That's normal and that's how it's always been.

Now the problem is that if I playback *.MKV files or Google/YouTube files the audio level isn't being controlled via Sage. It's playing the sound at the Windows 75% volume. I *think* it's a codec issue but not sure. Offline and online DVD's work fine with Sage controlling the sound.

Any ideas what to do or how to solve? I'd like Sage to control volume no matter what.

Vista
Latest version of Sage and SageMC as of this post date
nVidia codecs 2.25 (?) that came with TheaterTek version 2.5
Auzentech X-Fi Prelude drivers RC3

All audio and video options in Sage set to "default".

What it may be is a system volume vs. wave volume. There was a small utility for download that would let you control both at the same time time. It was called Volume Tracker. See if that helps at all.

Thanks for the app idea. I downloaded and ran but it only sees "CD Audio" so it's still not working. I'll mess around with it more but the problem now seems that Vista tries to simplify too many settings and hides a lot of the guts a few configuration windows down.
