Why is padding only on favourites?

Hi all,

Can someone please explain why it is not possible to add padding to all recordings, not just the ones I mark as favourites?

Thanks,

Ian.

uh, it is.
Set a manual recording, then Record options -> start/stop padding

You can add padding to mannual recordings using the recording options. The only recordings that I am aware off that cannot be padded are intelligent recordings. Then the question becomes why would you want to add padding to an intelligent recording. You can always make an intelligent recording a manual recording and then add padding to it.

Thanks for the reply guys. I looked in the Recording options but only found the options to record this show or add it as a favourite.

However, I did find that if you select Recording options again, after it has already been selected for recording, the the options to adjust the start/stop times are present.

Thanks for your help.

Ian.

If you want to automatically add a certain amount of padding to a manual record (or to new favorites), I have a plugin that can do that (see link in footer)

I have set in the settings a default padding (5 min before, 15 min after), so all newly created favorites and manual recordings have these settings by default.

Which menu is this on? I've looked through all of them and cannot find anything like what you're talking about. Is this using neilm's plugin?

Yes; default padding is not a feature in the default STV. You can also find customizations here: List of available customizations.

So used working with SageMC, it becomes at times unclear what is where possible.
However, auto-padding seems to me the type of feature the default UI could do with

I change padding start to 1 and padding end to 1 by default it was 0/0. I lost most of my endings with the 0/0. Changing it to 1/1 fixed that..
