Changing from Single to Service mode

I have had my SageTv system setup in "Single Mode" for a while and wanted to try using it in "Service Mode". I used the SageTV service control application enable and start the service but now when I run SageTV I find that some of the configuration settings that had been set while in single mode are no longer set, most obviously the remote control setup.

I assume there are some configuration files that need to be copied from somewhere to somewhere to bring all the setups from single mode into service mode. Can anyone give me a hand with this?

The service will be using sage.properties, while the UI portion will now be considered a client & will use sageclient.properties. I suppose you could try just making a copy of the properties file for the client to use -- you'll end up with a lot more stuff in it than what the UI actually uses, but I'm sure if it will cause a problem. If it does, erase sageclient.properties & start over for the UI. You could also just copy the property lines you want to keep.

I was in the same situation as the OP so I copied and renamed my sage.properties to sageclient.properties as Andy suggested and everything seems to work OK. BTW, my server and MVP seem to run better under the service.
