WinTV-PVRUSB2 picture problems

I have 3 PVR-250 cards connected to my HTPC with a 4 way Electroline splitter-amplifier. I needed a 4th tuner but the slots in my HTPC are full so I bought a WinTV-PVRUSB external tuner. I connected it to the 4th port of the splitter-amp. I then followed the instructions, installed the drivers and added it as a source in Sage6.2. After I did this I found the picture it produces to be very grainy and blocky.

My PVR-250s produce a far superior picture as did the ATI 650 cards when I was using them. I had my TV hooked up directly to the 4th port of the splitter-amp before adding the PVRUSB2 and had no problem with the picture. All 4 tuners are hooked up to a Electroline Unity Gain splitter-amplifier which isnt some cheap amp from a dept store.

I decided to try one of the cheap splitter-amps and got the same result. I tried the drivers on the install disk that came with the PVRUSB2 as well as the latest drivers on the Hauppauge site and got the same results. I installed the WinTV app to see if the problem was with Sage but again the picture was just as bad. Anyone else having this problems with the PVRUSB2? Could I have gotten a defective unit?

My HTPC has a Intel 865 PERL motherboard with a Northwood 3.2 ghz P4 CPU, 1 gig of Mushkin PC3200 ram, HIS 256 meg 1950 Pro AGP video card, 3 PVR-250 tuner cards, MadDog 7.1 Entertainer sound card, in a Silverstone LC-10M case running XP Home SP2. I'm using the NVidia codecs that came with Theatertek for the display.

Problem solved. I feel so stupid. I had the cable tv coax plugged into the FM radio jack, not the cable tv jack. When I realized this and switched it over my picture cleared up. I hope I haven't damaged anything by inputting a cable tv signal into the FM radio port.
