Padding woes...
Just made a fatal flaw in my understanding of padding.
I *thought* that it would record the extra +/- time, but not if two favorites were back-to-back. It turns out that it will record the extra +/- time, but only eliminate it if the two favorites are back-to-back AND on the same channel. As you can guess, a favorite didn't record because of a +1 minute padding and a conflict from another channel. My goal was to record a little extra on both sides of my favorites because occasionally they run early or late. I'm pretty sure the answer to my follow-up question is "no"...but does anyone have any idea if there's a way to tell Sage to apply the padding as long as it isn't responsible for conflicting with another favorite? Thanks! (BTW, I'm a one-tuner set-up...)

One option, if you don't want to get another tuner, would be to watch for unresolved conflicts in the menu header & set the conflicting shows to be Manual Recordings. You can then set the padding for those specific airings so there is no padding where they meet in the schedule. - Andy

Thanks for the reply, and the suggestion...but that would require me doing additional work. <smile>
I've turned off the padding until I get another tuner... Thanks!
