2 Extenders

Greetings,

I allready have the SD Extender and just ordered the HD Extender.

I know they can share remote codes but what I am concenred about is the fact that I have one extender in the bedroom that the wife uses, the new HD extender will be in the equipment closet but I have an IR extender system in use for the house and dont want her SD Hauppauge remote affecting the new HD extender, any one know if this will be a problem.

If you mean that the button presses from both remotes will be going to both extenders, then yes, you might run into a problem. You can reprogram the codes for UI control, but the power on/off & Home codes are built into the extender to put it in soft power off mode & power it back on. The 45 button Hauppauge remote & the STX-HD100 remote both can power the HD100 on/off.

Thanks for the fast reply Opus, do you live in front of your PC

Power is not a problem as I just let them run.

I have the IR extender in the bedroom so we can use the 300disc DVD player from the LR and the BR to control the thing.

Oh well when it gets here I will figure it out.
