Arrow SageMC Menu Layout Repository

Hi Everyone,

As of SageMC version 6.3.7, you can import/export custom menu layouts. To keep the main SageMC thread a bit less cluttered, please post your custom layouts here. Please include a screenshot, brief description, and of course the .layout file.

Have fun! I can't wait to see what you guys come up with.

Aloha,
Mike

Layout for Blue Two Dark Metal

I've just started mucking about with the layout options in 6.3.7. Thanks for the excellent work on this Mike.

Here's what I've come up with so far for Blue Two Dark Metal.

It seems to work well though it looks a little empty when there's no video or music playing. It would be cool if something useful could be placed underneath the video preview area. Maybe thumbnails of tv, videos or music?

The menu on the left scrolls vertically. I've also edited "My Menu" to use a similar layout. To make it work nicely I've edited the menu icons to use graphics from the btdm theme (by ASiDiE).

I've attached my menu structure (fairly basic atm) just in case it helps.

I've not tried this on my other Sage machine (will upgrade sagemc on it soon) so if you try it, please let me know if there's anything missing or broken in the export.

Mick.

Boxes Layout

I have a quick one I threw together I'll call "boxes". It's basically an icon-based menu with a larger preview window and things moved around a bit. After some more time, I'll try to come up with some more detailed layouts with new icons and such. Here's a screen-shot from the main menu:

Zip file of the boxes.layout file is attached.

Here's My Main Menu

This is my first attempt at making a new SageMC Main Menu. Unfortunately, I could never get exporting to a file to work. It saves 1KB files... even after the exporting feature was explained to me and updated the jar file... anyway, here it is..

File Type: zip MKANET-MAIN MENU.zip (1.8 KB, 776 views)

Here's the layout I'm using until I see something I like better

It works best with the Icons that are similar to the ones used in MeInMaui's Liquid theme. If you have vertically shorter icons, you might need to adjust the positioning some so that the text on the bottom row is hidden......

Zero WAF - Acceptable GAF

I have been using SageTV for a couple of years now. I just downloaded the current version of SageMC yesterday. I like it! It just so happens that this also coincides with finding out that Tripping the Rift has a 3rd season. So I chose an enticing background (I was going to say a titalating background, but thought I would refrain ) and then I experimented with customizing the main menu.

SageMC is awesome. Not sure how to embed the image but it is attached

My apologies, I posted this in the wrong thread. This should be in the screen shot thread

Interesting. I was not aware that you could have more than one bar on each of the "recent" or "upcoming" bars. Learn something new everyday.

Here is mine.

Save the file. Make sure the extension is .layout. Put the file wherever you are going to store all your layouts. There is already a folder setup in the SageMC folder in STVs folder. In SageMC on the main menu press your options command, then go to customize then import/export and choose whether you want to import the whole layout or just the main or submenus..

Like Kricker said.
On the main menu use your remote to go to options(I just right clicked or hit esc on the keyboard as I don't have my remote setup yet), chose customize layout and then import/export layout. You can navigate to your layout files and import one.
