20080125-2 Firmware Problem - Can't Power On

So I upgraded the firmware on my two HD Extenders last night. They have both started locking up on me today.

What is interesting is that they lock up when they are "off" - just the red light on front lit. They refuse to respond to the power on command and just sit there. I have to power cycle to restore service.

Is there a way to go back to the older firmware load? This has already happened once to my wife - "Why can't I turn on the TV" - so until it's fixed I'm in a bad spot.......

Same problem here. The firmware came out late Friday night (here) and it has a "2" attached to the number. Must be a story here.....

me three. although mine is killing the service somehow. when i go to the service control and click stop, it says the service has already stopped, even thogh is reads "started".

I've also had issue where i'd have to power cycle the STX-1000 to get it to turn on.

file a bug report, it will put light on the situation a bit quicker.

I've got the version with a 1 on the end of it, and haven't experinced this problem. Must be something they introduced in version 2.

When you are unable to power on could you try to press the Home button on the remote to see if it gets back to the settings menu or not?

None of the buttons on the remote or on the extender itself cause anything to happen. The only way to get it to respond is to hard power cycle.
