Poor HD playback performance
Hi
If I playback MKV 1080p files in SageTV i get low frame rate and the processor works at allmost 100%. But if I playbak the same MKV file with Windows Media Player it play just fine at a processor load of about 20%. I use the CoreAVC .264 codec. And it's specified in the Sage properties file to use it. I have tried both VRM9 and overlay palyback. And I have 3d and Full screen exclusive mode enabled. I have a AMD x2 4600+, 2Gb 400MHz RAM, ATI HD2600XT PCI-E. Any ideas? /ANSY Last edited by Ansy_74; 01-27-2008 at 02:00 PM. |

Is Sage using CoreAvc or is it transcoding the film? I had a similar problem and when I checked system processes within windows task manager I could see a transcoding process in action.

How do I know if it's using the codec?
If it's transcoding, how do I fix that? /ANSY |

also, "I use the CoreAVC .264 codec. And it's specified in the Sage properties file to use it." - how was this done?
