Overlay renderer 1080p issues
To avoid the ripping you get when using VMR9, I have my DVD playback set to use Overly renderer. However, I've recently switched from a 720p tv, to a 1080p TV, and increasing the screen resolution to 1080p brings up a rendering problem message when I try to play a DVD, meaning that it won't play. So I'm now stuck using VMR9 for everything. It works, but the tearing effect is quite annoying.
Is this a limitation of the overlay renderer, or should it be able to do 1080p? Any advice much appreciated John Nvidia 7050PV onboard gfx AMD 4200+ Dual Core CPU Connected via HDMI |

I use Overlay with 1080P every day (including DVD playback) and it works great.
