Favorite overriding Manual recordings

Perhaps I’m confused…
My understanding is that Sage prioritizes recordings so that manual recordings record preferentially over favorites.

My favorites will interrupt a manually scheduled recording. Is there a setting I am missing that is incorrectly set?

Is it possible that you had a previous conflict and you told Sage to always override with the favorite? My understanding is the same as yours and I have never seen this. But it has been a long time since I have even seen a conflict.

Not sure...
If so, how can I fix this?

I don't think you can. I think that information is kept in the wiz.bin file. If you don't mind losing your watched history or favorites, you could wipe out the wiz.bin file. You probably should ask support if there is any way to clear it once it is set. You can go into Recording Conflicts and see if it shows any overrides, but I doubt if it shows them.

edit: I think you might be able to fix it by removing the favorite and then add the show as a favorite again. This should remove all overrides connected with the favorite.

The way a Favorite overrides a Manual Recording on the conflict resolution screen should be to cancel the MR, not add a priority over it -- priorities affect one Fav vs. another.

The only time I've seen a Fav get recorded instead of an MR is when the Fav was already recording & the MR started airing while the Fav was still recording... or at least I think that happened during some testing a while back.

If there is some sort of bug in v5 for this issue, then my suggestion is to upgrade to the latest v6 version & try it. There have been many bug fixes and improvements since v5. (If you purchased a v5 license, then v6 is a free upgrade.)
