I did not receive a confirmation e-mail or tracking number yet. Order number is 28249 ordered at 12:21. Should I start to worry?

Thanks guys. Nothing in my Spam folders. I sent an e-mail to orders@sagetv.com. Hopefully mine didn't get lost in the ether (already)!

We don't get that kind of "vacation" here in the States. I'm jealous.

Bought one this afternoon. I reviewed a unit in December, but didn't have the spare cash to buy one for myself. Couldn't resist this time

Which release should we be running on the server for the new extenders? I know there's an RC out...will it be a full release by the time we get our new toys?

What is the "spare cash" you speak of? I am unfamiliar with such a concept.

I couldn't afford to buy one this time around. . .so I bought two. Hurry up tax rebate!

From the FAQ
Quote:
Q: What version of SageTV is required on the server in order to use the STX-HD1000?

A: Version 6.3 or later.

It is recommended that SageTV version 6.3 or later be installed on the server PC when using the STX-HD100 media extender. This is the version that has been tested with the device.

Note:when first connecting an STX-HD100, you should use the Firmware Update option in the Settings menu to make sure the latest firmware is installed before continuing.

I was wondering the same. The current released SageTV is 6.3.5 (I believe). I have read that some people say you should use 6.3.7. Also there is the 6.3.9 RC. What do existing owners of HD100s suggest?

(The later versions have fixed many bugs dealing with the HD100s, but do they fix more than they break...)

Thanks

We don't here either, I've saved up 2 years worth of holiday and am taking it in one go.

Maybe I should visit our New Zealand members and see if they have any beer in the fridge

Whether I have a job when I get back is another thing...........

Thanks Gerry...I guess I was wondering if there was going to be a full release to coincide with this release. Not a big issue for me either way. I'll run what a brung and see how it goes!

Back to the regularly scheduled purchase bragging post!

A while back I migrated from Sage to MCE and am now (hopefully) moving back to Sage. I just bought a non-HD extender to begin experimenting with, assuming it would be a while before the HD versions were back in stock. Oops, I guess I was wrong.

I just ordered an HD extender but now I have to figure out how to explain this "experiment" to my wife. This hobby is a little expensive!

Ordered one

Order # 28278 @13:25 PDT, glad I got mine in!

The email said shipping would occur within one business day, and that would be fine by me.

The UPS pickup driver is going to have to load several hundred boxes at 6 lbs each, I can't imagine all will ship today!

You're right, it's more than a hobby, but I'm not sure it makes it any easier to explain: "I'm going to spend a bunch of money, break all our TVs for a few days, but it will be better when I'm done...really, I promise!"

I think the key selling points are comskip (not easily doable with MCE) and the fact that our archived movie collection will be a lot easier to access (MCE is pretty clunky handling non wmv videos).

Silly me, stepped away from the computer for a few hours and just got the Email saying they were back in stock at 5:45 or so.

Got my order for a second HDX in. That will cover both my HDTV's!

Odd thing is that trying to use the links in the Email threw up an error message from the store saying no such product for either the standalone or package. I ended up having to just go through the front door to the storefront and everything went fine from there.

I received my order confirmation and license key on my Email's next mail check. (every 10 minutes)

It may be too late to get it shipped today, but I went with UPS ground anyway so if it doesn't ship until tomorrow it's not a huge deal.

I can't wait to get it installed in the bedroom and get rid of the MVP. No more waiting to view my HD recordings to make sure that my marginal server isn't too busy to transcode without skipping.
