Recording/Cache files
I'm trying to understand how Sage writes recording and caches. I have a drive dedicated to recordings. I've set Sage to use this drive to store recordings. Now does Sage write to that drive during recordings or does it use an intermediate file on the OS drive?
Secondly, when watching a TV show while not explicitly recording it, is Sage caching this file to the Sage/OS drive or to the dedicated recording drive? Thanks, Ben

SageTV doesn't cache anything, live TV or not. If it is being watched or recorded, it is being recorded to a file in one of the recording dirs you've specified.
Appendix C in the SageTV PDF manual covers where files are recorded, btw. - Andy
