Comskip question

How do I get comskip to generate edl files instead of txt? I have read what has been said about changing the setting in the comskip.ini file but I cannot find the comskip.ini file. Detailed help on what I am probably doing wrong would be very much appreciated.

The comskip ini file will be in the same directory where you installed comskip which I think is totally up to the person installing. Do you already have comskip installed?

Don't know if this will help, but just in case you might check out this writeup I did on getting commercial skipping set up.

I removed all the files previously installed, reinstalled the same and re-ran the setup file and everything worked. I'm not sure why the installation did not work the first time but now I see the .ini file and without doing a thing to the configuration the program is generating .edl and two other .txt files for every recorded tv file. I'll test further later but I wanted to say thanks.
