Looking for a known working wireless media extender/client that works with Sage?

Can someone please point me to a list or something that is of known working wireless Media Extenders/clients? I was using MCE2005 with a Eureka product but would like to see a more advanced product like Sage Server with a wireless media client. My other works fine (wireless and all with ripped DVDs) but I want something more advance now but it still needs to be wirless. I have was looking at the HD-100 from SageTv but it is only a wired product. Thanks!

p.s. Please don't recommend a home built pc as I want to keep the form factor and price as low as possible. Currently my wireless extenders are under $200 and work well I just want a fancier GUI like the Sage stuff.

I'd have to say HD-100 or MVP w/a wireless bridge (Buffalo N or Linksys G router w/modded firmware best way to go). DD-WRT or Tomato firmware.

Are these really known working with SageTv 6.x? If so can someone point me to a known working setup page or something so that I can view it before I buy. I already own a few wireless routers including the Linksys one that can be modded but now just need a little client for the room to stream to?
I have also read numerous things about 6.x not working with MVP correctly but maybe I am wrong here.

Do you have a wireless media Extender working with SageTv?

If you have a wireless media extender working with SageTv 6.x could you please post what you have? I to like the post from geekincolorado am looking for a known wireless media extender that works with SageTv. I don't want to play around as I had plenty of time to do that with linuxmce (to much stuff in there for me). Thanks!

There's no way to guarantee that any wireless config will work. You could buy the same hardware, as someone with a "working" config, only to find that it won't work in your setup due to environmental conditions. Wireless is a hit-or-miss technology when it comes to video.

If you want a guarantee of success, run wires.

As far as extenders go, there are only three that work with SageTV at all

SageTV Media Extender (Hauppauge MVP) in wired/wireless versions
SageTV STX-HD100 HD Media Extender (wired)

The Hauppauge wireless MVP is supported by SageTV, but whether the wireless connection will work for you or not, no one can say.

My whole house (roughly 3600 square feet) is currently wireless with both a 802.11n draft router running in a DMZ zone and also an 802.11g with WEP. I have two little boxes based off a Sigma chipset running in two rooms that currently stream our backed up DVD library (via 802.11n) from the basement to them with no problems. I am just looking for more options and SageTv as a server appears to have them but I need to have wireless clients. Hope that helps.

Great then buy an STX-HD100 or MediaMVP (non-wireless) and a wireless bridge. As Stanger said, it can't be guarenteed that it will work. What works at one place, may not work at another. It sounds like your wireless is working for your DVD sharing devices so most likely it would work if you use a wireless bridge that is compatible with your router. Many people have setup extenders this way. I myself wouldn't trust something like videos over wireless, but it sounds like you have been doing it for some time.

Just don't complain if someone pops in a burrito into the microwave and you lose your connection!
