Recordings 1 hour off...

I just installed sage on a new machine (2.6ghz celeron D, 512 ram, 200gb storage, vid, etc) I am running dual tuners (150 & 150MCE) and after getting everything up and running I realized that what sage said it was recording was not actually what it was recording.

Some more info:
I am running WinXP w/ SP2
I am running Sage version 5.0.4
I have the most recent version of Java.
The windows time is set correctly. I have tried ENABLING and DISABLING windows time sync. Neither way fixes it.
The time in sage shows the same time as windows shows. The guide also shows the correct time but the listings are all 1 hour fast.

I have tried removing all video sources and adding them back, that did not fix it. I have also tried checking the other sources thru the guide data, that did not fix it either.

I am not sure if it is a java problem, a windows problem or a sage problem but I was able to come up with a temporary fix which was to set the windows clock 1 hour slow, which then sets sage 1 hour slow (and the guide data) and then it does record the correct shows.

Am I missing something here or what?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

you need use the tzedit utility to adjust your daylight saving time settings in windows

google tzedit.exe

once you make the changes, go to the time zone area of the windows clock change to a different time zone then back to your correct time zone.

restart and you should be good to go.

Thanks for the quick reply, I just tried the program and it didnt seem to fix it. My windows clock showed the correct time (6pm) however after I restarted sage it showed 2am.

Does sage pull the time from another location? I dont know how windows could be correct but then sage somehow gets a completly different time.

Ideas?

Downloaded the patch from Microsoft and tried to install it. It said that it could not be installed because the same or a newer version was already installed.

I read through that thread you linked and I am relieved to know that at least I am not the only one with these problems.

Thanks for your help and if you have any other ideas please let me know.

What about your java version? If it is just Sage, then it is probably java related. You might also try turn off time sync in the Sage properties as that seems to have fixed for some (although not sure if it is a short term fix).

it's a long shot, but have you correctly entered your zip code in the tuner setup?
