How can I manually add QAM channel to lineup?

I am experimenting with the latest beta drivers for the Avermedia m780 under XP. I am having some success. The channel scan picks up a some of the QAM channels I have available. There are 3 others I know I can receive, but the scan does not pick them up. I have edited my .frq file adding in these 3 channels. How do I get these channels into the lineup so I can then tune them and re-map them to the proper channel for the guide?

Channels 29-31 are the ones I added in by hand.

I have tried every method of re-mapping channels listed in the user guide. I just can't get it to tune the missing channels.

The re-mapping does work as described though. I used the different methods listed to experiment. I re-mapped a channel to ones I knew the tuner found when it did it's scan, and that worked. I just could not get it to tune in the channels I know I get, but the tuner missed upon scanning.

Another oddity is that upon each scan, the number of channels the tuner finds is different every time. So although it has gotten better, this tuner and Sage are still not working together very well.

Also, tuning into the channels can be painfully slow at times, taking upwards of 30 seconds.
