hd100 and hd pvr stutter every 10 sec

Ok, updated to latest beta for both media extender and sagetv. Picture looks great, but I cant seem to get rid of the skip every 10 secs. I have changed the resolutions, recording qualities, multiple times.
I can't seem to get rid of the skip. It doesn't seem to do it on the server computer. Just on the hd100's.
Doesn't happen on any of my other tuners, hdhomerun, or hauppauge 500.

Any ideas?

thanks

Network issues? What resolution are you recording at? There is a recommendation by one of the users here to fix the skipping to record everything at 1080i....That might be worth trying.

Any update here guys?

I am having the same issue. I have the video skip when capturing at less than 1080i. When I capture at 1080i however my video becomes pixelated generally during action or quick movement in the scene. Makes watching sports very difficult. I wish my 1080i playback was smooth as a workaround but for now I don't have a good solution.

Thanks for your help!

There's another topic about this that has some more detail in it, these should be merged.

Just wondering if anyone has made any progress on this issue. I have not been able to figure out a fix of good work around. I went ahead and submitted a support request tonight to make sure they are aware and hoping to get a response that an updated extender BETA is on the way!

Anybody make any progress? I just updated to the 20080707 extender firmware beta and still have the stutter. I also have reported this to support and am working with them to troubleshoot. Thanks!

I had this problem. 2 things solved it for me. My sat box was set to 720 instead of 1080i. I changed the sat box to 1080i and then it stopped for a little while, however it came back. Then I read that someone suggested changing the USB port the HD PVR is plugged into. I changed the USB port and have not had a problem since. I didn't shut down the Sage server or anything. I just un-plugged and moved the HD PVR to another USB port.
