DVD playback On HD Extender

Just wondering if there is any noticeable difference in picture quality if i was to use hdmi over component when Iam playing backup dvds off a hard drive?Thanks

I have one TV hooked up via HDMI and one via Component and on both DVD's look great. Unfortunately its a bit apples to oranges in that they aren't the same TV, so obviously the tv itself plays a part in how things look on the screen. I don't think either way would make much difference as in the end the source (aka DVD) will be the limiting factor.

hdmi was sharper for me on the same tv.

of course the component cables could have been better.
