WinTV-HVR-950q

Has anyone tried the WinTV-HVR-950q. I just bought what i thought was a HVR-850 at Circuit City but when I opened the box it is a HVR-950q. I am building a sage 6.3 box with a Core 2 Quad Q6700,2 gig ram and 2.75Tb disk.

I bought 4 Pinnacle pro sticks with the intention of using then to tune in OTA channels. And 3 pvr-250 to pick up a few analog cable channels. But the Pro sticks don't appear to work together. So I’m looking for some alternate OTA devices.

Any feedback or suggestions would be most welcome.

Did you get your HVR-950Q working? I'm looking for a clear-QAM capable USB stick tuner for use with Sage. I want something small that will work with a portable Sage system on a notebook.

Thanks,
Mike

I too am looking for the same thing. . . apparently the Fusion Gold 5 USB and the Hauppauge HVR-950 both support clear QAM but I'm unable to get any responses as to how to set it up to work with sagetv (if its even possible).

I have an HVR-850. It will work for over the air digital broadcasts using Kaffeine and other media players. (I'm running Linux.) It was pretty much plug-and-play.

However, I cannot (yet) get this device to work in SageTV. I've been trying for the last couple hours and no luck so far. I believe it should work because it works with other software on the same computer.
