Problem playing digital recordings over local network

Hi,

When using PS over the internet, it works fine (although a little blurry with low bandwidth) and gives bandwidth and buffer info.

When using my home network, it works fine for analog shows, but stops every second or two with digital over the air recordings. It also doesn't give bandwidth or buffer indications.

Any suggestions on how to get it to play digital recordings smoothly? Neither the server nor the remote machine shows high CPU usage.

Thanks.

I'm assuming you are using wireless G? HD is unreliable over Wireless G. There just isn't enough bandwidth to over come packet loss that inevitably will happen. You have plenty of bandwidth to handle SD since its requirements are a fraction of HD, but for HD it is just not feasible. Some have luck using Draft-N, but for me I stick to SD when I want to watch on my laptop or just hard wire it.
