Stop adding channels I don't receive!

Sage constantly activates new channels I don't receive on my HDHR lineup. This has been happening for a long time... usually 1-2 per month. However, I looked today and Sage added at least a dozen non-existent channels. Argh!

Is there a way to block Sage from activating channels? Or at least prompt the user for approval before modifying a channel lineup?

I thought this feature was added in one of the recent betas.

Edit: Yup it was added in 6.4.1

22. Added core support for not enabling newly added channels by default. It's controlled by the property: epg/enable_newly_added_channels

GTWannabe,

Thanks for asking this question. SageTV constantly adding channels I do not subscribe to was also annoying me. I think the default should be "disabled" instead of "enabled". I changed my setting to "disabled". Hopefully, it should end the annoyance.

Make sure you're running the default STV and NOT SageMC custom STV. You MUST load the default SageTV3.xml.

How exactly does Sage control channel access? Is it only by number or by channel name?

Dish seems to have shuffled a bunch of channels around and my channel lineup seems to be hosed again. Seems like it would be better to set it up by channel name than by number.
