Offline Media Files - no longer import

In order to view my offline media collection within Sage I have in the past created a 0 byte text file and named it movie_name.avi. I then include that file, a movie_name.jpg and a movie_name.avi.properties file that I create from DVD Profiler (using a metadatatool available in downloads as well as I am writing one to run from DVD Profiler) in an "offline" folder that I add to my imported video folders list. This has worked for me until version 6.4.8. I have worked with Sage support and they have responded that this should not have worked in the past and that it is now not working due to the fixing of a bug (and the death of a "feature" for me ) If anyone else does this type of offline viewing, you should note that as long as the media files are already in your database and they do not change, they will still be viewable... but I am not able to import new 0 byte files nor udate the properties on old ones as that would require a reimport and that now removes the media file from the database.

I wanted to let other know that this no longer works and check to see how others handle "offline" media browsing from within Sage?

Sage support suggested the following....

"You should just use a file that's bigger than 512KB in size and then you will be OK. That's what we have to do for stuff like this. It's best if it's actually a valid media file as well."

Unless I hear of another solution, I will create a very small "blank" avi file to use for this purpose.
