Sporadic success logging on remotely

I'm having an issue with Placeshifter where I get the logon screen fine but after entering my username and password sometimes it logs me in and other times it times out.

Most of the threads I found were people not able to connect at all. I need ideas how to troubleshoot why its sporadic.

I can't help you with that, but I see the same thing. Typical only with one computer, other computers may connect without problems.

I've been having this same issue for some time now. I am attempting to connect on a Windows Vista Dell Machine. I would be able to connect fine and sometimes get a play error. Other times I would be able to logon but placeshifter would just site there for about 30 seconds and then just as it appeared to go into the sage menu it would log me out. I could fix this by rebooting the sage server and/or rebooting my client, but it always comes back.

It started happening this morning again so i decided to check the forum. Something in this post jogged my brain and i was able to fix the problem so far this morning. If i check the enable 3D acceleration box my problem is fixed. I can log in right away. If I uncheck the box it just sits on the logon screen until it times out. My video card is an ATI 1300 Pro.
