HD-PVR 1.1 driver upgrade issue

HD-PVR 1.1 driver upgrade issue

I got around to upgrading to the newest HD-PVR this weekend. The upgrade on the server seemed to work fine and I made a few test recording without issue and they played back fine on the server machine but I did have audio issues on one of the Client machines. I did some reading but could not seem to find a post with a similar issue and ended up backing it out for now.

The issue is that I get no audio on the client machine for HD-PVR recording made with the new driver. This is and Windows XP MCE box and the machine is host to a remote tuner so it is really a full setup but I watch TV by launching the SageTV Client which attaches to the main server. I am also using the latest SageMC plug-in.

I think the problem lies with the ATI 3450 video card. This box is attached via an HDMI cable to and Onkio AV Receiver which then attaches to the HDTV via another HDMI cable. Everything worked fine with the old driver but after the upgrade I get no sound. (Older HD-PVR recording still play fine as do the HDHR OTA recording.) I can actually play the new HD-PVR files on the same machine with Nero Showtime without issue. I have tried every other audio decoder on the machine and can not get sound with recorded playback or live TV.

I think the ATI 3450 video card is basically the same thing as the built in video on AMD 780G boards so comments from those users might also be useful.

Has anyone had success with these video cards on HDMI with the new HD-PVR driver?
Has anyone else had a similar issue or suggestions?

I tried this again this weekend and after hours of playing with it, researching the likes of graphedit and more. I finally figured it out.

Well apparently there is no fix for stupidity. I upgraded the SageTV software to the latest version and it instantly solved the issue. It was not a very old version but apparently old enough. I must have forgotten to upgrade it when I did the server and the other client machine. Oh well at least it was just my time I wasted.
