Various Artists Tagging
This is really annoying. I have a bunch of compilation albums. In iTunes those particular albums are set as "part of a compilation". The problem I have with this is that when that option is checked SageTV displays the artist as "Various". When you have "part of a compilation" unchecked SageTV shows the artists correctly but it lists each track as a separate album. Why isn't SageTV smart enough to combine all the songs which have different artists into a single album?
The reason this whole thing is frustrating is that for a marked compilation the real artist is NEVER displayed. All I ever see is "by Various" when I want to see who is really singing the song. Is it really that difficult to get this right?

I have no idea what iTunes is doing, but SageTV is looking for Artist and AlbumArtist tags. If you don't have the AlbumArtist tag set, you may not get the albums separated properly. You can check the tags in WMP -- right click on a song, choose Advanced Tag Editor, then look at the Artist Info tab.

Now that I'm playing around with the tags and stuff it seems this is actually a SageMC problem.
