HD PVR and Changing Channels Through Firewire

I have HD PVR hooked to a motorola dct 6416 cable box. I want to change channels via firewire through sageTV. I have searched high and low to no avail, just dead ends. If anyone can help me, I would truly appreciate it.

I set up firewire tuning with the Motorola 6200 box and it works great. I followed the steps laid out by Opus4 in this post:

And embedded in that post is a link to MeInMaui's PDF'd which also helped a lot (and is referenced in Opus' instructions).
