I now have transparent menus with SageMC 6.3.8??

I have attached a picture of what I mean.

When I pull up the popup menus they are transparent and are hard to read. I found a setting over in the sageMC settings that seems to imply that it controls this but it is already set to 255.

I used the upgrade package, not the full install package since I had the previous version running just fine.

Thanks
Greg

A setting for Options menu transparency has already been added for the next update.

Aloha,
Mike

Ah that's how you intended it? Ok, I will wait for the update.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Greg,

Here is a quick patch to set the options menu background fully opaque. That should hold you over until the next update is released.

Aloha,
Mike

Hi Mike

That is awesome service. I was content to wait, but now that you have gone to the trouble I will install it right away.

Worked perfectly.

Greg

+1 for me as well. Thanks Mike! That really is speedy service

Now if I could only get WD to RMA my bad drive that quickly I'll be all set.

Unzip the file and drop it in ...\SageTV\STVs\SageTV3. Then in SageMC go to the settings screen and press the 'Import STVi' button. Find and select the patch file and hit OK. That should be it.

Aloha,
Mike

Wondering if my problem is related to this. When I update to 6.3.8a from 6.3.7a my UI goes partially blank (transparent?). Basically the "highlights", icons, and popup menus are gone. If I hunt and peck I can move to recorded tv and menus but there is nothing indicating which menu item I have highlighted and when I finally make my way into settings I can't reload a different .xml since the popup menu doesn't show up. Here are some screenshots (notice the lack of orange and icons).

Thanks for all the hard work on SageMC. I (nor my wife) could live without it.

It looks like something theme related is messed up. If you haven't tried a reboot, give that a shot. If the problem still exists, try enabling debug logging (link to instructions is in the tips and tricks sticky) and post the log file here. It's hard to give any more advice without any information about your system.

Aloha,
Mike

Ok it looks like you unzipped the SageMC installation incorrectly. You have the SageMC_169.xml file in C:\Program Files\SageTV. It needs to be in ...\SageTV\STVs\SageTV3. It will not be able to find the support files it needs if it is in the wrong directory.

Aloha,
Mike

That was a bone headed move on my part. Fixed that, but now I'm getting an error: "You have an incompatible version (6.3.7a) of sagemc.jar installed. Please update to the latest version 6.3.7a". The only jar file I found in the download was imageutils.jar. Sorry for my ignorance, this is the first time I have updated sagemc and I'm not very familiar with it's inner workings yet.

I wanted to attach my new debug file:

You still have the old version of the jar file. I suggest reinstalling SageMC using the full installation package. If you have a customized dynamic menu file (sagemc_menu.xml) then back that up first or it will be overwritten.

Aloha,
Mike
