Trial period over?
Just installed my new HD theater, and updated the firmware to the latest stable version. When I try to connect to the server, it goes to the "Sage media extender is starting up" screen (or whatever it says)...and in red letters across the screen it says "TRIAL PERIOD OVER, GO TO WWW.SAGETV.COM FOR DETAILS". The extender never boots up...anyone see this?

What version of SageTV are you running? You may need to upgrade to 6.5.x or get an extender license.

15 Day Trial Message on Extender
So I bought and registered the HD200 Extender and software and after I input my code the trial message when playing videos on the extender went away for a day or so. Now when I load the extender and connect to the server it pops up with the 15 day trial message and when I play a video it has the roaming "Trial" screen over my movies.

Are you using the beta 6.5.3? 6.5 automatically recognizes HD200 and gets the license from the box. If your using 6.4.8 or before then you need a client license.
Make sure you update to HD200 to beta firmware pushing 2382 on your remote while in the firmware update screen. Last edited by QueOnda; 12-12-2008 at 02:15 AM. Reason: Put wrong 4 digit number..now corrected!
