My Videos Sorting

How are folks handling articles in the Title of the videos? i.e. "The Departed" or "A Charlie Brown Christmas".

I tried just renaming the folders and moving the articles to the end ("Departed The" or "Charlie Brown Christmas A") . That looked worse than the shows being out of order.

In DVD Profiler, I set the Sort name but that does not appear to have a place in the My Videos metadata.

Any thoughts? I am missing a configuration somewhere?

No-that's the way it is. It would need to be rewritten to work on the sort title I believe.

Thanks. At least I know I wasn't missing anything.

Do you know if the source is around to play with? I did a quick look around but didn't see any downloads for it. In the new year I might have a few minutes to playing around with it.

You can hit the ctrl+shift+f12 key on a client or server and it will bring up the studio interface with the code and it can be modified. I had changed the sort order on mine to sort by title instead of by file name, but with the latest version of sagetv beta, it seems to not sort correct. The list is added to an array, you can change what field it is using for the sort. The RelativePath is normally used and contains the file name, but if you look at the All Videos code, it uses the GetShowEpisode() function instead...
