DTS in some MKV files crackles (via SPDIF)
I have found that x264 MKV files with DTS sometimes have crackly audio. MKV + AC3 sound tracks play fine, and even the problematic MKV+DTS files play OK in Media Player Classic.
This is all over SPDIF, and I have verified that my receiver sees a DTS signal. I am puzzled why Sage and MPC behave differently, but each must somehow be using a different graph to get the audio to the SPDIF output. BTW, I have this set in my properties file to force AC3 and DTS to use SPDIF passthrough. extra_mplayer_args=-afm hwac3 mplayer/audio_renderer=win32 Perhaps there is a correlation to the DTS bitrate, I haven't checked that yet. But in the meantime, is there anything else I can try changing?
