Are Folks successfully running SageMC on 6.5.6 Beta Client?

I'm curious, because the discussion is dead on this thread about 6.5.6 and SageMC: http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38441

Although I am running 6.5.6 Beta with SageMC on my server, my two HD200 clients, and my WinXP Pro Client, only the XP Pro client has catastrophic issues. The others just have liveable "weirdness" like random stops and things, but nothing that doesn't right itself immediately. The WinXP client, has hard freezes that require task kill, and happens very frequently just in normal navigation and show scheduling.

So either
1) no one is running the beta yet on a WindowsXP Pro SageTV Client
2) there is something specific on my setup and the other user in that thread that only affects a small number of users, but very severely
3) they gave up on SageMC/6.5.6 until it got out of beta and are back to using 6.4.8...

Can folks comment on your experiences with SageMC and 6.5.6 Beta?

Running on a Sage XP Pro, Vista Ultimate, HD100, HD200 and a MVP. No issues. Running jaminben's Movie Info and TV info screens. Also Netflix, Movietimes, Pandora and iMovies.

I have 6.5.6beta on one XP client, and see no issues. In fact, i was contemplating upgrading my other client tonight in advance of the "production" release. My SageTV server is also on XP and can't report any issues relevant to the beta at this point.

I have had issues, but i can't pinpoint them to the beta. For some reason all my genres decided to become "Adventure/Family/Animated" sort of categories, and there have also been numerous crashes...but i think that was because i decided to defragment the hard drives while Sage was recording on that drive at the same time.

It looks like my troubles weren't really Beta 6.5.6 troubles (but they occured at the same time). Evidently my JVM Heap was insufficient. On meinmaui's suggestion, I reset to 512MB and SageMC has been stable ever since. Also, there may be an issue with DVDProfiler import but I am still working through that. Thanks everyone for the posts...but it looks like it is "just me"

Now that the mpegdemux issues seem to have been resolved, I think I can confirm some issues with these latest RC versions of SageTV and SageMC 6.3.8b6. I'm not sure if it's SageTV, the SageMC STV, or maybe a problem with my network. I get the occasional lockup (spinning circle of death) on my PC Client. This usually happens when the PC client loses the connection with the server while video or live tv is playing. I also get random disconnects where the PC client loses the connection with the server. It ususally resolves itself quickly and reconnects with the server. I've checked the Windows event log and network connection details and don't think it's a networking hardware issue since it doesn't appear there is an actual loss of connectivity from the network.

I also started having a connection issue with one MVP where it loses connection and unplugging it and replugging it doesn't work to fix it. It either doesn't get an IP address upon restart or it fails to find the streaming server. I can fix it by resetting the internet gateway wireless-n router/switch that acts as the DHCP server for the network and then unplugging and replugging the MVP. But it's only one MVP on the remote segment of my LAN that has the problem...the other MVPs on the primary segment are OK. Primary segment MVPs are connected to a gigabit switch that is connected to the internet gateway wireless-n router. The remote segment MVP is connected to a wireless-g router/switch that is connected to a 100Mb switch that is connected to the internet gateway wireless-n router. This MVP issue is getting to be a daily issue. I'm going to uninstall SageMC UI and revert to the default STV and if it still has issues, I'll submit the bug reports to SageTV.

I didn't see anything obviously unusual in either log leading up to any of these connection losses. I'm running SageTV v6.5.6 on both client and server, server running in service mode, Java v6 update 11 on both client and server, SageMC UI 6.3.8b6 on both client and server, and the Java Heap registry setting is hex 200 on both client and server. I'll do some more testing with the stock SageTV UI on the PC client and MVP clients over the next few days to try to narrow down what is causing the problem.

Just a quick update... I replaced a network switch on my remote LAN segment and now my MVP extender on that segment is working again with no disconnects.

I've been running the default SageTV STV on the PC client and haven't had any disconnects over the last 2 weeks. I've upgraded the server to the latest SageTV RC and now I'll update the pc client to the latest SageTV RC and update to the latest SageMC STV and try again to see if the disconnects come back.
