Is there a setting for that? No. Sage will record it as a single file. The only exceptions I know of is when it has trouble writing the file and it starts and stops. It will get broken up but Sage can play it as if it was a single file. The other is if you're writing to a drive and it happens to be FAT32. It can't create a file larger than 4 GB (2GB on FAT16) and will break the files up accordingly.

Help me understand what you are trying to do. You can set a manual recording that will record for any amount of time you want. Set the start and stop times along with the day. You can also pick a program from the EPG to record and it will record the whole program. With using the PVR500 you can use a program like VideoEdit to cut it to any size you want or cut portions out of the program. Imcuding commercials.

I recorded 18 hours of TV (06:00 to 00:00 hr)
but I want sage cut automatically by hour

If this is a one-time thing, use some external video editor (such as VideoReDo) to cut up the file manually.

If you're doing this regularly, then set it up as 18 separate one-hour timed recordings instead of one giant 18-hour recording.
