Slight Pause every half hour

When watching live TV the system seems to pause for a few seconds on the hour and half hour. By my watch its bang on to the second so I figure its the PC possible re-tuning to the channel. Has anyone else had this problem and if so is there a workaround - its annoying !!

It happens using Client/Placeshifter or HD200 (I can't say whether it happens on the main server)

Thanks

This is probably sage creating a new show file as one program begins and one ends. Sage creates a seperate file for each show including when watching live TV. The pause occurs when the show is over and sage stops playing/writing that show, creates a new file for the new show, and then begins playback of the new file.

I notice this big time with my HDHR. What tuner are you using?

I normally don't watch live tv except with my HDHR.

I'm using a Hauppauge Nov500 and Floppy DVB

Its irritating, I hold my breathe every time hoping that it hasn't crashed!

lol, I used to do that but luckily its no where near as bad now (crashes). I've pretty much got a super stable setup which can go 40+ days without a reboot. Took me over 9 months and lots of £££ to do this but it was all worth it in the end, even with the stutter as a progam changes. I've suggested a circulating buffer in one of the "What would you like to see in version 7.0" threads so maybe someone at Sage will see this and make it happen.
