HD200 HD Video Playback Freezing

After watching HD Videos (such as 4GB mkv files) for about an hour through the HD200 in Extender Mode, the video will freeze for about 5 seconds, then continue for maybe another 10 seconds then freeze again and continue this cycle.

If I skip back a minute, the video will continue to play fine for maybe another 15-20 minutes before doing this again.

When the videos are playing normally, the green network light on the HD200 will have a pattern that will flash for a few seconds, then remain solid for a few seconds. When the freezing occurs, the network light flashes continually until I skip back 1 minute.

It acts like maybe some kind of buffer issue.

Again, it plays fine for about the first hour. The symptoms are probably similar to "stuttering", but a lot more severe.

I don't experience this with HD TV recordings, or with smaller SD AVI video files.

The server is Vista 64, Q6600 CPU running at 3 Ghz, 8 GB RAM, 1TB drive formatted at 64 cluster size.

This describes exactly something I experienced a few days ago. But it was on OTA HDTV. It was alarming because neither of my HD200s have ever done it before, nor have they done it since.

Chalk me up to having this issue as well. Every Sunday night my HD200 does the same thing, while my wife's HD100 keeps plugging away just fine. Maybe it is heat related since the tv is generally on all day Sunday?

Don't think it's a heat issue. What version of firmware are you running? I'm on 20090430.

I recently upgraded to 20090430 as well. It hasn't happened recently for me though.
