"No Signal" with HDHomeRun since firmware upgrade

I upgraded the firmware yesterday as I'm sure most people did and since then I'm getting "no signal" in Sage on every HDHomeRun channel. It was working perfectly before the upgrade.

Since I did the uograde, I've rebooted the HDHR, rescanned for channels inb the HDHR and reset the channel numbers to match the guide. I've also removed and reinstalled the two sources in Sage a few times.

When I view the HD channes in the HDHomeRun setup program they all display fine in VLC so I think it's a Sage issue.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rob

Did you follow these instructions:
HDHR setup for Windows

If you are tuning OTA channels, note the change mentioned there.

Yes, I've followed them. I'm tuning digital cable so there was no change for me.

Thanks,
Rob

Did you also scan in SageTV? If so, did the scan go quickly or take a long time?

Are you running Vista and the scn file is not where SageTV is putting the frq file? (VirtualStore vs. SageTV install path)

yes, I did the scan in sage for both tuners and it found all the channels in about 15 seconds.

I'm running xp and the scn files showed up where they should as well as the frq files after running the sage scan.

I see you've posted on the SiliconDust forum & they've asked you to enable their logging.

If that doesn't solve what is happening, you can also enable debug logging in SageTV, including native logging, then reconfigure the HDHR tuner in SageTV and post the debug and native logs. I can ask someone to check out the logs, but that might not be until after the weekend.

Did you make a backup copy of your old scn file before you did a new scan in the HDHR software? If so, try copying that scn file back into place & get rid of the new frq file (save the newer files first), then do another channel scan in SageTV. If channels haven't moved around, the old scn file should still work... that's what I did for my OTA channels.

The same think happened to me and I had to power cycle the device one more time after the firmware update to fix it.

Logs created while setting up the tuner may be better. Oh, and your .scn file(s) would be useful.

Edit: I didn't originally see that you are using SageTV v6.4.8. You should try v6.5. There is an updated release version and a newer v6.5 beta -- see my sig lines for a direct link.

Same here

My HDHR also stopped working after applying the 20090415 update. The problem is the HDHR no longer finds the QAM channels.

Edit: I owe an apology to SiliconDust, the new driver did not break my HDHR. It seems some "mega digital TV distribution center" in the West that my cable company gets its feeds from went down due to the big storm out there. The distribution center is back up and so is my HDHR.

Thanks for the help! Installing the latest Sage version fixed it for me. I don't know if it was because its a newer version or just the reinstall process in general but either way its fixed.
