Buying soon,but a few questions

Hi all,

I am going to order the HD Theater soon as I see it will help me with my movie collection stored on my hard drive. I understand that it will read the Video_TS folder for dvds but still have a few questions.

1. I have started buying Blu-Rays and would like to back them up as well on my Hard Drive. Will the HD Theater read the folder just like it does with a normal dvd?

2. I back up all my dvd's using DVD shrink with no compression. Will I get the same dvd menu, extras and sound options? Will it output the surround sound if I have it hooked to my Sony Receiver through HDMI?

Thank you,

Kneo

Yup, though you don't get complete Blu-ray functionality, it just plays the main movie and lets you skip chapters.

DVD Menus *should* work, and SageTV is always responsive in support if you have one menu which is not functioning correctly. Do you have DVD Shrink fixing the menu structure as part of the rip? It is one of the options in preferences.
