but marking something that is WAY off (to not even be considered close to one of the standards i would find annoying... maybe instead when the resolution is not one of the standards display the vertical resolution as text...

really? i think every bluray rip i have is a 1080p directly... and is labeled as such... i do not do any reencoding but rip the main movie plus main audio track to a bluray disc format.
I think the problem is if someone does encoding (lets say using Ripbot) and doesn't specify to retain original size (1920x1080) the encode may output a file close to but not exact (1920 x 900, etc...) in order to meet whatever the encoding requirements were set by the user. I have actually seen this before. However, I agree with razrsharpe that is it a far stretch to label 1281x721 movie 1080p.

There are some apps out there (AutoGK, and others) that have an AutoCrop feature. So on letterboxxed movies, it iwll end up with odd resolutions. Since this autocropped letterboxxing is the most common source of these problems, I think it would be more accurate to group the classifications by horizontal resolution instead.

Hey guys sorry late to my own party here in the process of a move and internet access is limited.

I agree with Razor I will add it to the request to maybe show it as a text if it is a different but that may be hard. The current way I do it is it searches the file detail that is in sage. I will add and look into alternatives.

cheers

Exactly.. maybe the source is 1080p, but the AR isnt full screen, so most of the encodes actually crop the black bars and try to mantain the original resolution. So just like 10% of the encodes actually just show either the 720p or 1080p (at least in my case which I do the encodes with cropping so the rip doesnt have the black bars within the encode, rather l leave the media player handle the AR).

I mean its not a big deal.. i just have issues with movies I do 720p and 1080p (which are listed twice) I need to click and see what is the filename to see if its the 720p or 1080p.

Just my 2 cents

Outstanding Work...minor issue

First off, this has to be my favorite download so far for Sage, excellent work to all involved.

I am having one recurring problem with Grid View or Cover Flow View.

If I hold the left or right arrow key to scroll through the movies on coverflow flow or grid view, my extender will crash and power itself off.

Evertything works great if I tap the right or left direction buttons to cycle through the movies. However, holding a direction for 2-3 seconds will repeatedly crash my HD-200 extender. I do not have problems on the server itself.

Fortunately this isn't critical since I use list Wall or List View.

Anyone have any thoughts?

I am running:
SageTV V6.6.218
SageMC Version 6.9.9a
Current HD-200 Firmware

Thanks,
Nutball

Never seen this one did you make sure and perform all transformations and scaling? Is scaling on? What happens if you hit ff/rr?

Thanks!

I was thinking too if you could add up another media icon for the framerate, if its 24,30 or 60fps. In my case if its 24fps, I have to switch the output framerate of my vid card to 24fps so my tv can use the 120hz function correctly (so the PC wont do any 3:2 pulldown). What everyone else think bout this?

I installed SMW 4, a fresh copy. I installed Phoenix instead of BMI, but Phoenix doesnt seem to work as well a BMI, it only lets me do an IMDB search where BMI let me search IMDB or other sites. Can I install BMI with Phoenix already installed? Thanks much

I am yes but you seem to have more time on your hands than I do so if you want to do it feel free to ask anyquestions/issues you run into.
