Controlling slideshow pics in screensaver

I could have sworn I saw a setting somewhere that toggled the screensaver slideshow between 'shuffle' and consecutive modes. Mine is currently in shuffle mode and I'd like to turn it off, and have Sage loop consecutively through the available pics. The way it is right now, it will frequently show the same pic twice in a row, and occasionally 3x in a row. Also, it is truly randomizing the pics. I want it to display them a folder at a time, so consecutive images are somewhat related.

Does this setting exist? I searched all the menus, searched the manual, but had no luck. Could I have missed it? Of course. If a setting is not available, is there a way to get it to do what I want, as described above?

Thanks.

Unless you are using a customization, there is currently no shuffle option for the photo slideshow, so I'm not sure what you are referring to. The only randomness of the slideshow screen saver is which photo to start with. The slideshow's photo sort order depends on the photo browser's current sort option: filename or date.

Thanks for the response. I am not using a customization. Our pics are stored in folders based on different subjects. The pictures shown in the screensaver slideshow seem to be truly random (shuffled), showing one picture in one folder, then jumping to a different folder then sometimes back to the first folder. Also, as I mentioned, sometimes the same picture will be shown 2, or occasionally even three times in a row.

Is there a STVI or plugin that allows more control over the slideshow screensaver?

As I said above, the screen saver's slideshow order is determined from the photo browser's sort order. Is is set to sort by date & there are copies of some photos? Similarly, the photo browser has an option for whether photos are enlarged to fill the screen.

You could enable debug logging, then check the log after the screen saver runs for a while. It will list the photos that have been loaded & you could see what the actual filenames are.

BTW: there is now a random screen saver slideshow setting in the latest beta STV update.
