HD200 Locked up during firmware update - FIXED

I don't want to power off, but I was updating from USB and it is stuck at the
Part 1/2 Erasing 12/28

Any suggestions?

I surely did. And this is on the eve of a road trip that I plan on bringing the HD200 along for my daughter in the car.

Oh and tech support was excellent and prompt!

I'm glad you got it working. Unfortunately for me, I did the exact same thing. I was downgrading the firmware via USB and it got stuck at erasing 12/28. After it was there a couple of hours, I unplugged the unit and attempted the recovery from the server a few times, but no luck. It's still dead.

Did you do anything differently than how it's listed in the FAQ?

No I didn't. I pretty much assumed the unit was dead so I left it alone.

When they say it takes a while it takes a WHILE.
I'm pretty sure the unit was in "recovery" for almost an hour, if not more. I had given up, walked away. Fed my daughter her lunch and then i looked up and the SageMC screen was on the TV. I was like ...

So try it overnight and you may be pleasantly surprised in the morning. I hope it works out for you.
