Can I create fanart for home movies?

I have some dvds of archived home movies. Is there a way to easily create fanart for them?

I am running SageMC and Imovies set to the fanart fixed option.

Thanks

You should probably move this discussion to the SageMC section of the forums....

Anyways, I have created Fanart for a few movies I have. It's easy, just get an image you want to be the background, and save it in the directory named after the home movie in the movies part of the fanart directory.

I tried that but I placed it in the phoenix folder. (I'm just a consumer so I may not have the folder name correct).

You can also do a screen grab whilst your playing your movie and it'll save this as a fanart background in the correct folders. Thats if your using SageMC, I'm not sure about the default UI.

this is a great trick. I use it sometimes when I can't figure out what the correct folder name should be. [Let SageMC grab a frame, write out the folder, then I can download "real" fanart to that folder (assuming that it's for a movie with fanart out there on the internet).]

Thanks guys. I have been using the screen grab with TV shows but I didn't think it worked for movies. I'll try it again...

Will it do the box cover art? I guess I can look in the fanart folder of other movies and see how to rename one to be the box cover.

Mike explains in this post that DVDs won't work with the screen capture. http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...23&postcount=4
