import rescan period

I'm sure i'll get demerits for dredging up an old thread, but it seemed appropriate.

When the auto rescan of import directories is turned on, what is the interval and can we control this in the properties file?

It's a pain to have to explain to the wife how to do the rescan. I'd rather tell her to drop the files in the folder and within xx minutes it will show up in sage.

I just checked and whatever the value is seems less than 15 minutes, so thats pretty good, but i would like to know how to control it.

There's a good reason not to post to a topic from 2 years ago... SageTV's features change over time. So, I moved this to its own topic...

I don't remember what the automatic period used to be, but the latest v6.5 betas now have an option in Detailed Setup -> General to set how often rescans are performed, in hours. (If you want it to be less than an hour, then enter a decimal number, like 0.1.)
