No Sound Win 7 Client

I just installed Win 7 RC on a new PC and am trying to use it as a Sage Client. I installed Total Media and have video but no sound in Sage Client. The same file plays fine in Total Media Extreme with sound.

Please ignore my signature since this is a different PC.

TIA for any help.

I have a clean install of Win7RC1 with SageTV Media Center set up as a server. I installed ffdshow_rev2633_20090125_xxl_mt.exe and have playback on my HiDef recordings. SageTV is installed with default settings. My OTA ATSC and HD-PVR recordings all work.

I only have stereo speakers on my test computer but ffdshow does have S/PDIF passthrough.

I also installed the Hauppauge IR Blaster driver and configuration software so I could use the IR Blaster on the HD-PVR.

http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...kage_id=214245

Click on the experimental mt section. When installing you can enable the S/PDIF passthrough, as I recall.

Thanks, ffdshow did the trick. All I need is playback on the Win 7 machine. It shouldn't be this difficult.
