Lost my STV Recording data
Setup: Vista PC, HD100, SageTV v6.5.12.208, Java v1.6.0_11, SageMC v6.3.9, SageMC.jar v6.3.8, STV file SageMC_169.xml
I'm not sure if this is really a SageMC or SageTV issue, but somehow when I turned everything on tonight on my HD100 I realized something was wrong. The SageMC theme had been changed back to default, all my media directories were blank, etc. I couldn't figure it out so I finally broke down and reinstalled SageMC. This really got me no where so I just started from scratch adding my photo, music, and video library directories and running through the setups. However, I'm stuck with the TV Recordings. It seems everything in the SageTV Detailed Setup got set to default again, so I reset things like DVD Profiler info and STV Recordings directory (although the Run Configuration Wizard had all my previous settings) . When I open up SageTV my recordings didn't populate (either in STV or SageMC). I ran through the advanced_video_file_recovery=true and still nothing. Not only are my TV recordings not showing but I also lost all series recording info. Seems like Sage just had a major melt down and I'm not sure why or what happened. I just want to get Sage to see my original TV recordings - any help? I have some old back ups of Wiz.bin and sage.properties - probably a year old. Not sure if this would help if I restore them. TIA for any help. |

You might try replacing wiz.bin with wiz.bak...

Replacing Wiz.bin with .bak didn't help. I'm at a loss - all my tv recordings are in their original directory but they are not showing up under My TV Recordings. However, they are showing up under My Videos even though that folder hasn't been added as a video source directory. Now I'm not sure how to clean them out of there.
Finally, my HD100 isn't displaying to correct theme - I thought it just picked up the theme from the SageTV software. Minor point but indicating to me I don't have everything squared away still. |

If your SageTV server is running on Vista PC where are you putting the wiz.bin file? Are you using UAC? It may have to go in the virtual directory.
