HD-200 playback and STV transcoder
Last week my daughter asked "Why can I hear Mummy's hair dryer when I watch Hannah Montanna?". I eventually realised what she meant.
Every so often, playback on the extender sends the server to an unrelenting, noisy 100% CPU (hence the hair dryer) courtesy of a transcoder process. Stopping playback of the recorded show in question returns CPU to circa 10% and the process vanishes from task manager. There's no apparent pattern here so I'm assuming the server is having to step in to assist the HD-200 for some reason. Any ideas or suggestions?
